Cylinder Support Brace - Daihatsu HD-E

Close in the open deck of your Daihatsu 4 cylinder engines to reduce the risk of split bores under high cylinder pressure situations.

We offer our Daihatsu Cylinder Support Brace for all open deck Daihatsu 4 cylinders. (and upon request, can do other engines as well)

The brace is machined from 6061t6 aluminium, then the block is machined to receive it as a light press fit, and is machined down to under .5 from the deck ready to be decked off and have any other engine machining done.

Our brace gives a lot more support than the off the shelf, no machining braces, as the cast surface of the block is actually machined to receive the brace, so the pressure is even around the bores, which isn't possible without machining the block.

Turn around time is ~4 weeks depending on workload. a CLEAN, BARE block must be provided (everything removed from it, and degreased/pressure washed) Drop off and pickup in person or freight can be arranged at the customers expense.
